Glasgow. They divorced and Harold married Mary Wilson who Marvin always considered as his mother throughout his life. He was raised on the family farm by his grandparents, Fred and Jennie Potter and his parents Harold and Mary. It was in his childhood that he became close to lifelong friend Leonard Swenson, who lived on the neighboring farm. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1. From there, he attended a trade school in Wahpeton, ND to study mechanics.
He was well known for his outstanding mechanical skills all of his adult life. After trade school, Marvin came home to Glasgow. He worked at Gallagher's IGA. It was at this time he met Kathy Fuhrman and they started dating.
Marvin was drafted into the Army in July 1. He did his basic training at Fort. He broke his foot during basic training, but was still deployed to Vietnam.
Marvin and Kathy were married on June 8, 1. Vietnam. They lived in Killeen, TX (Fort Hood) until he finished his services duties. Next they moved to Everett, WA where he was a mechanic for Boeing building the 7.
Boeing had a massive lay off. Marvin and Kathy returned to Glasgow Montana, where their three daughters, Kami, Pamela and Kyndra were born. During this time, he worked for John Deere Implement and the Etchart Ranch. They were divorced but always remained friends and kept in contact. He moved to Chinook, MT to work at a John Deere dealership owned by Kathy's brother, Bob Fuhrman. Bob sold the dealership and Marvin moved to Harlem to work at Northern Supply.
We worked there until he retired. During the 7. 0's Marvin became very involved with Stock Car racing and it became a lifelong passion. His car number was 1. It was during this time that he grew his beard and mustache and became known as Whiskers. During his time in Texas he enjoyed attended Drag Races.
In 2. 00. 7 he started going to Drag Races in Malta and Lewistown. He made many great friends (his racing buddies). He never missed another race until his death. Marvin's last race car was a 1. Chevy Corvette and he was overjoyed to take this for his last race.
He was also very creative with many artistic skills using paper and pencil, markers, paint, metal working creating sculpture items and his last work was The Lord's Supper tooled on copper. It was done freehanded and is outstandingly detailed. Marvin was most proud of this his final work. Marvin was also an avid reader with Zane Grey as his most favorite author. Marvin was very proud of being a veteran and displayed American flags on any and all of his vehicles.
Marvin was a Life Member of V. F. W. He was also a Lifetime Member of the Phillips County Motor Sports (Hi- Line Drag Strip) of Malta. Marvin was preceded in death by his dad, Harold Potter, his grandparents, Fred and Jennie Potter, his sister, Marilyn Potter Carson, his Uncle Bud Potter and his granddaughter, Charley Se.

Survivors include his daughters, Kami (Charlie) Brady, Pamela (Devin) Hieb and Kyndra (Winston) Hall; grandchildren include, Grayson Brady, Zach and Kash Hieb, Aitana and Ellycia Moore, and Gacin Hall. Kathy Fuhrman his ex- wife and friend. Marvin is also survived by his very loving and caring sister, Kelly (Dale) Taylor. Other family includes his mother, Mary Potter; siblings, Tim (Ann) Potter, Lloyd Potter, Joy (Tom) See, and Jennie Potter Mc.

James and Dorothy had four children, Jim, Lonny, John, and Dorvin.
One of her greatest joys was her four grandsons, whom she adored. Dorothy was a natural care giver. She worked at the hospital in Glasgow for several years before she and James moved back to the farm. They started wintering in Arizona shortly after that and loved their time there. When James passed away, she stayed in Arizona for a few years, working at the Good Shepherd Villa in Mesa as the manager of one of the assisted living cottages. After returning to Glasgow, she worked at the First Lutheran Church for a while before retiring for good. She continued to be involved with visiting people in the hospital and the nursing home.
She was helping others up until the point she could no longer do it. Dorothy loved cooking, gardening, working in her yard and bird watching. She was always busy doing something.
She was always very involved in church activities wherever she was living. She was a devoted Lutheran, and her faith was very important to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1. Walter Bugden, three brothers, Bob, Jerry, and Don Anderson, her in- laws Jalmer and Rose Larson, and sister- in- law, Evelyn (Larson) Edwards. She is survived by her children, Jim (Connie), Lonny (Shirley), John (Jan), and Dorvin, four grandsons, Ryan, Ian, and Kyle Opheim, and Dylan Larson, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Services for Dorothy will be 1.
Saturday May 6th at the First Lutheran Church, 6. Ave N., Glasgow, MT 5. A luncheon reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the Church. Burial will follow the reception at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.

She was raised in New Deal, Wheeler and on the farm south of Glasgow. She attended Borton County School for 1st grade and completed her education in the Glasgow Schools, graduating in May of 1.
One week after beginning her senior year she began working part time at the First National Bank. She continued working for the bank until her retirement in 1. She worked various departments and had thorough knowledge of bank operations. In January of 1. 97.
She was a loyal and dedicated employee and officer for 4. Issella was also the main . They had two sons, Richard and Douglas. She was a member of the Congregational Church.
She taught Sunday School for many years and served on many church boards. She was a soroptimist member for 2. She also served on the organization boards and board of directors several times. She had many interests.
Camping with her family was a favorite activity. Issella and Glenn started camping when their sons were young and continued until Glenn. She was an avid reader.
Instilling her love of books in her children and grandchildren. Music was very important to her and she took time very day to listen to her records, CD. She enjoyed needle point, crewl embroidery, crossword puzzles; especially diagramless, puzzles, playing board games and any card game. Every morning she read the paper and worked the crosswords while having her cup of coffee. She always had a cat or two. She said they are independent and intelligent.
Both good qualities, she was glad these pets let her live with them in their home. Her friends were an important part of her life. After Issella retired, she began taking Motor Coach tours with a friend or two. She often went on trips and traveled together with five or six of her fellow classmates. Family meant everything to her; especially her daughter- in- law.
They were the daughters she never had. Her children and grandchildren were the joys of her life. Issella was an amazing baker.
She made all of the pies for holiday dinners, always making sure everyone had their favorite. Sometimes making as many as 1. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Issella was preceded in death by her husband of 4. She is survived by son, Richard Cook (Rhoda Lake) of Laurel, MT; Richard. Her special niece Tracy Grimm of Glasgow and all her friends. A visitation will be Tuesday, March 1. PM at Bell Mortuary in Glasgow, MT. Services will be at 1. AM Wednesday, March 1.

After graduation she attended the University of Montana and was a member of the University Symphony Orchestra and Alpha Chi sorority. In 1. 94. 4, she married Bill Bell in Everett, Washington prior to his service in World War II. During his deployment she returned to Saco and post war they resided in Malta where they raised six children, moving to Glasgow in 1. She worked alongside her husband at Bell Mortuary. She was an organist, artist, seamstress, potter, knitter and an amazing cook. Her greatest gift was parenting her six children. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Laurece and brother Ellis, sons in law Marvin Edwards and Scott Alexander, and grandson Daniel Cunneen.
